About Me
Hello, I'm Lindsay Christianson. I'm a creative writing major and major fan of all things creative.
I've been making up stories for as long as I've been talking. My debut was a two-part series called The Dance and The Veggie Dance, illustrated with photos of my dolls and lovingly transcribed by Mom.
As I've gotten older, my writing skills, if not my ability to come up with titles, have improved. Between blogging, college, and personal projects, I'm always spinning several writing plates, and I love it (usually). I started this blog when I realized it was finally time to put my writing out into the world so people other than parents and professors can see it.
Since I started this blog, I've also become a published fiction author. I wrote White Marbles, the first book in my Brownwood Grove mystery series. It is a humorous detective story starring McAllen Clark, the unflappable PI, and Joseph Brown, the unsuspicious hotel manager.
If you're ready to follow me on my writing journey stick around. If you know someone who would like my content, send them my way. Maybe one day you'll be saying "I read her before she got big." (As in famous. Though I do love my chocolate.)
Here are some fun facts about me:
-
I've always loved old things. My favorite decade is the 1930s.
-
I love music. My favorite genres are jazz, swing, and 70's folk/rock.
-
As an avid writer, I'm also an avid reader. My all-time favorite genre is British mystery from the inter-war years (20's &30's).
-
I like TV shows more than movies. My favorites are sitcoms, mysteries, and old-school sci-fi.
-
I absolutely love learning. Writing is the perfect career for me because it allows me to learn about and experience anything in the world.
